1.2 Backuno Plugin

The Backuno WordPress plugin does not collect personal data from site visitors.

  • backup size, file counts, and runtime metrics

This data is used only to ensure compatibility, diagnose technical issues, and improve plugin stability.

1.3 Licensing & Portal Accounts

When you activate a Backuno Premium license via the portal (portal.backuno.com), we may collect:

  • email address
  • license key
  • associated domain(s)
  • license status (active, expired, suspended)

This information is required to validate licenses, enforce site limits, and provide support.

2. Backup Data Handling

Backuno processes backup data locally on your server.

  • We do not receive, store, or access your backup contents.
  • Backup archives remain under your control.
  • Remote uploads (Google Drive, FTP, S3, Backblaze B2, etc.) are sent directly from your server to the selected provider.

Backuno does not copy backups to Backuno-owned servers.

3. Cookies

The Backuno website and portal may use cookies for authentication, session management, and basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • operate and maintain the plugin and services
  • provide license validation
  • respond to support requests

  • License and account data is retained while a license is active.
  • Expired or cancelled licenses may be retained for legal, billing, or support purposes.
